Wot I Did On My Holidays

Jun 02, 2008 18:55

Once upon a time, not so long ago, and not so very far away (unless you are in Australia, or similar Forn Parts), a Beyoutiful Lady planned to attend the wedding of one of her many many cousins, in the far off region of Pescara, in Italy, to be held in a castle, naturally.

I wonder if you could've beaten some drugs out of the doctor by telling your aunts that he didn't want tea.

Damned puma. *blames thesme*

If only I'd have been able to think clearly at the time, that could have worked a treat! Especially with Auntie Mary who is well used to Dealing With Doctors ;p

Definitely all thesme's fault tho!

(am impressed you actually waded through all that!)

Drugs! What is the point of going to hospital if one does not get decent drugs?!
I can't say the hospitals in Montréal are any better btw.
Your foot, ankle and leg was a very interesting swollen purple colour.
This is probably not the right way for me to have realised that yes, yes I most likely did brake my foot those couple of months ago... ah
But... wow.
I think it is a real shame there are not pictures of the Bottom Shuffle.

And also
WOW

I know! NO drugs at all! Bloody italians!
Getting home and getting DRUUUGS was great. Aaah the joyes of tramadol. And the fancy bed! up down up down up down...

But you ever do find yourself in rural Italy, do NOT break things, that hospital was the scariest place I have ever been; the lack of even basic screens between beds or any concept of privacy was horrible.

Actually I'm not sure why no-one took pictures of the bum shuffle up the plane, i think we were all just terrified they'd realise I shouldn't be on it ;p

Yay for drugs!!!!
Codine is incredibly useful.

Should and shouldn't... it's a subjective interpretation of can or could. You *could* get on the plane, and you *could* fly... :D

If you do? BRING PAINKILLERS. Apparently it's standard practice in Italy at least not to hand them out, not sure about elsewhere!

I do remember the phone calls of that weekend. I'd go along with the 'in shock' theory.

At the time, all i really worried about was getting OUT of that hospital, it was a very unnerving place to be. And the angry nurse terrified me ;p
