Wrapping Things Up

May 20, 2007 20:10

It's the first time in months that Baofu's apartment was in any sort of mess. With Katsuya still being a boy scout and doing 'the right thing,' Baofu got to work with his own projects. Fixing records that the New World Order, police and Tien Tao Lien might've messed with while under Nyarlathotep's influence ( Read more... )

It was a long time, too long really, before Katsuya wandered back home from their rescue mission. He doesn't look great, but he's out and back on his feet. Jun had called, and though the conversation had been awkward at best, Katsuya had found out that his brother and his sort of other brother were in the process of salvaging the old apartment. No easy task to be sure.

So here he was, ready to collect his things and stop bothering Baofu with his lawful, do-goody presence. Though, as much as he told himself that, he can't help but feel a bit sad at the thought. Though a bed rather than his spot on Baofu's floor sounded mighty nice..

He glances at the wall of computers. "Surprised you're up this early.."

Any other time, Baofu would know that someone was outside before they even got there. This time? Baofu didn't even notice. He's too used to Katsuya and Ada letting themselves in.

"It's because I haven't slept, dipshit," Baofu grumbles in reply as he takes a sip of coffee that had been long forgotten. Cold coffee. Yuck. He looks down at the seemingly innocent cup and scowls at it.

Katsuya chuckles, knowing by now to take Baofu's temper as not seriously as possible. Getting into arguements with him when he's in a mood like this would just end up badly. And really, Katsuya isn't in the mood to do much arguing.

"Well, sleep easy. I'll be taking my leave soon." He wanders off to the kitchen, making a fresh pot of coffee without a word and plucking Baofu's cup from his hands, rinsing it, and refilling it. Back on the desk it goes and the ramen cups start disappearing one by one. He's such a good maid.

"Wonder if I can get my job back finally..." Katsuya muses as he takes his seat on a kitchen chair idly.

Baofu's scowl stays as the cup is plucked from his hands. He leans back in his executive-looking swively desk chair for a few moments, watching Katsuya go about the cleaning up of miscellaneous items.

Its then that Baofu realizes that... damn, he's gonna miss that maid Katsuya when he moves out. Though Baofu is a self-proclaimed misanthrope, he does enjoy the company of others, even if its sitting in complete silence.

"Well, considering that you saved their asses again, I'd think they'd owe that much to you."

Baofu's eyes fall on the pink lighish red faded red apron hanging on the hooks near the kitchen's entrance. It'd become a fixture in the apartment, a source of much grief for Katsuya... it'd be weird seeing it gone.
