Looking at that painting, I believe it was painted of a scene in Australia. The sign on the wall says TOOTHS' KB which was a brand of beer here. Interesting.

I'm trying to figure out who painted that scene. I think a signature can barely be seen but it's not very legible. I did find another pic. I wonder if the impressionist scene is from Sydney of the 1890s or thereabouts.
