Loved the story about the palm seeds. That's the sort of information I used to be delighted to find once. It was like visiting my past self to read it.
It wasn't so much the gender bias that bothered me with the autism story, but the fact that the writer didn't have the insight to realise that other people might also be scared of being screamed or yelled at and accused of prejudice and discrimination or the disabled if they said anything.

Still not great, I'm afraid -- I'm still being cautious with how much screentime I give them. But that said, here I am, and about to do a catch-up and then post - possibly with Easter pictures attached! :D

Thinking about an oral tradition surviving over thousands, maybe tens of thousands of years--that's wonderful.

And the egg link is fun too! I've done all different sorts of egg dyeing at different times. Here's a link to an entry from a time we did them Ukrainian style (I love the rich patterns that are possible).

Hoping you're on the mend, and that you have a lovely Easter.

I did! (have a lovely Easter), and hope to post about it this morning - with a photo of our onion-dyed eggs. :) Your own wax-resist eggs are gorgeous!
