Madara wuldn't be as interesting as Obito, plus the whole one eyed thing is way too conspicuous. And yes, angsty!Kakashi would be totally awesome! 8D
I personally never thought Orochimaru was an interesting character so I thought getting him out of the way so fast was a nice decision. *nods*
But, oh, I can't wait a week for these small chapters. I want to know nooooow..~
