What an intriguing set of premises. If you promise to finish it, I'll promise to read it.

I only had time to read the prologue. It was pretty good, well written, tight, plenty of tension. Very good. There was just one thing that I didn't like: "Michael Thane caught the scent of a fresh novice-hell-slang for a new arrival." I do not thing editorializing so early in the story is a good idea. Find some other way to tell your readers what a "novice" is.

Okay that's it, free virtual cake for a week :P Seriously, I'm tickled pink that you enjoyed these first parts so much. Funnily enough, you caught me on your journal, lol. Don't worry this isn't a scratch-me-I'll-scratch-you thing *g*. I'm in a reading mood rather than writing mood tonight and your post is just under mine. I'm only a little way in, but I already like your quirky style; it's got the dark edgy sort of feel that always grabs me. More later on your own journal.
