How exciting!

I've wanted to do this for ages, but kept not doing so... but following a leaflet in the post today I've signed up with www.milkandmore.co.uk which is Dairy Crest's online service, and starting from next week, we will be having a real milkman delivering a pint of milk every day, and a small veg box every Friday! The veg box will have random fruit ( Read more... )

I think I've mentioned our wonderful milkman before (though I'm afraid he's not Dairy Crest). He works every day of the year except Christmas Day, and he was the one service who still managed to get up our fairly steep hill through thick snow. We get milk and orange juice; we get eggs at the local market (though they've just stopped stocking them so we might have to rethink) and he doesn't do veg boxes. In fact, no one I have come across does veg boxes that would work for two people who don't eat at home every night!

You're right, it does feel very grown-up having a milkman. Hope yours goes well.

I keep thinking about getting a veg box, but have not been brave enough to try it yet. I shall look forward to seeing how you get on with one :)

We don't use enough milk for it to be worth getting a daily delivery.

We get a weekly able & cole veg box, I feel very much like a grown up when I open it up.

Excellent! I'm very childishly excited about something that I claim to make me a grown up... ;-)

I sometimes have to remind myself that I'm 42, as I don't feel confident in myself as a Grown Up very often. I still find it vastly amusing when I talk to parents at school as staff.
