Half term day one

I didn't set any alarms this morning and finally woke up at 10.45 - couldn't believe it! I drifted in and out of sleep for a while longer and eventually made the effort to get out of bed at 11.30. So as far as I'm concerned, this morning simply didn't happen! LOL ( Read more... )

I have the same shouting with the lounge "This is a room, not a rubbish bin" regularly :( Mine don't seem that bothered by mess in the floor in there & I rarely go into it, as I seem to live in the kitchen.

I found 1 big head louse on Holly last week & nothing since, so hopefully it had gone on her that day & therefore laid no eggs.

I had the same conversation with my Grandma a few years ago & failed to convince her that Dame Edna Everage (sp?) was a man. She also used to muddle up Eastenders & Corrie & ask about characters from one soap while watching the other *g*

looks guiltily at the living room floor and decides not to ask Helen round for a while...... ;)

And that's pants that she can't get sunglasses as well as normal ones - is there any way she can get referred back or to someone else who can authorise them?

And nits are one of the things I do not miss about young children!! We had an electronic comb from boots and that was great - I just used to comb everyone once a day when they were going through a contaminated phase and it made it much easier not having to wash and condition as well. And I'm now sitting here resisting an urge to scratch my head!

At least it's your children you're shouting at - they will learn, eventually. Husbands, it appears, never do. Sigh.

It's worth keeping an eye on your local 99p shop - I found some clip-ons for Husband there last summer. Having bought him a frantically expensive pair at the Eurotunnel terminal on our way to France last summer because he'd forgotten/lost his, I bought him a pair to lose.... well worth stocking up if you find they have them at yours come the spring.

Sounds like she's falling through a gap in the system re: sunglasses, and it might be worth making a polite fuss to see if someone can prescribe them. Surely prescription sunglasses are an absolute essential for a child with albinism?
