I always accept them too, which is fine when people don't mind you charity-shopping the bits you don't want; I find it's when they'd like them back for their next child that it becomes a problem, storage-wise...

Mine dressed in hand me downs too! My cousin had one daughter who was three years older than my eldest and they bought only the best clothes for her. Mothercare and M&S were bottom of the range! And so much! Some of it did get passed on but it saved us in those days
