Fascinating and cool. I love the first picture especially. It shows a Hell of a lot of personality.

i love that i know that the first picture was them on their honeymoon:) it's kinda crazy to see your grandparents at your own age and think what they must've been like, young and in love. i wonder who took that first picture, and what grandpa's holding.

i also love the second to last picture, how close they're sitting, and the look he's giving her, and their hands. going straight from that to the picture of them as i always knew them is weird.

I agree. They do look like such a happy couple in both pictures. I love the look that your grandmother his giving her husband in the first picture too. Very, very nice photos.

Lovely photos!

I find old photos of my family fascinating too.. for example, in the pub in the village where my parents live (and I used to live), there is a photo in the pub of my Dad in the 1960s, standing by the bar. Whenever I go there, I always steal it from the pub so that I can scan it, but my parents always take it back in the morning before I can. :)

a rootbeer float is when you put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in your glass of rootbeer:) it's tasty. you should try it if you haven't before.

ooh, delicious.
Sounds like our spiders, a scoop of ice-cream in a soft-drink. I don't think we get Rootbeer here.

no rootbeer?? oh, that's sad indeed. i've never tried ice cream in other soft drinks, but i should sometime. i like vanilla coke, for instance, so maybe a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a glass of coca cola would be tasty.

That's a really neat journal entry, Helen. Maybe some time I'll have to do one for my grandparents as well.
