new tiny thing: The Game tag

Today I wrote this very tiny rushed tag-ish thing for SGA 3x15: The Game. Spoilers, of course. Tomorrow (uh, I hope, given the current weather) I'm off to Maine for Christmas, and out of computer range. So: Merry Christmas, all: you can't even imagine how much joy you all bring me, all the time, every day.

Yes, Nola barging in on Rodney! Yes, Rodney wanting - not getting - giving up on any smooches with Nola. Yes, Nola being a pain in the ass and Baden liking it anyways (and getting defensive when Rodney complains about her? YES YES YES)! Yes, secretive storeroom sex for the two of them!

Yes, Rodney, we know that you don't get it.

(and, yes: I love this more than pretty much anything ever.)

I like to imagine Baden and Sheppard coming to a silent understanding about how cute Rodney and Nola are; they don't need to discuss it or anything, because they just get it.

Hm. Not sure where I was going with that - but, probably, at first, Baden just thought Nola was SO ANNOYING and would express his annoyance in very tough workouts with John, and John would make non-committal noises of semi-agreement when Baden mentioned that Nola thought she knew everything, and then one day Baden showed up and said "She's kind of fun, isn't she?" and Sheppard said hm, yeah.

Also, clearly Rodney and John go for the wedding and get together then.

Finally!!! This so needed to be written. Maybe it will occur to Rodney abruptly in the middle of an argument with JOhn and he'll blush and stammer in the middle of a sentence and turn around and walk into a wall. And then there will be kisses.

awww. I think the problem is maybe that Rodney finds Nola REALLY ANNOYING and so does not make the cognitive leap, because HE isn't really annoying! He's fun! and smart! and he's not RAMBO, but he tries not to complain more than the situation warrants! Nola is just a belly-acher, and snippy, and talks too much.

John might have to eventually tell him, or something. Just imagine John trying to get that explanation out, in monosyllables. You know, maybe Ronon eventually just tells Rodney that Baden didn't seem so hot on Nola until he and John started hanging around with each other.

Or, you know, they just make out at the wedding.
