Two things were cancelled today, or rather postponed. But I'm happy with that. Tomorrow is going to be very hot and though I want to see our daughter and granddaughter, leaving it another week should mean cooler weather for a long drive down to Mid-Wales. Very pretty rings

My wedding ring was rather scratched and the bevelled edge had worn away after 50 years. The remade ring is nicely chunky without being too thick. I am very pleased with it. It's also nice to be able to get the engagement ring on and off more easily.

Barmouth was very soggy. Holidaymakers were wandering around in raincoats looking a bit dismal. Today, however, is sunny, though not actually as sunny as the forecast said it would be.

We have had rather a lot of days like that this summer. (I always associate Barmouth with biscuits I remember from my childhood - I wonder if they still make them?)

And the rings look really good. I am so pleased I thought to mention that as a possibility.

I'm so glad you did mention it because I would never have thought of it myself. I'd have just paid for the extra gold to have the ring enlarged and would still had my mum's old ring sitting in the jewellery box.
