That was definitely amazing. I don't think I even have the words to describe it. This right here, this storyline would be epic. I mean, after listening to the latest podcast I thought--what's going to happen? How will changed Mark deal with the Lexie situation? And how does the promo pictures of Lexie's breakdown fit into the scenario? And of course it could go either way, good or bad.
Anyway, I'm so happy Mark owned up to his mistakes. Yes they were both at fault but Mark didn't see it as such, so I'm definitely glad he recognized what he did wrong as well. You'll definitely have to write more stuff like this. :)
Yes, I think Mark needs to fess up to what he did. I'm tired of Lexie being the only one feeling guilty. Yes, the promo pictures of Lexie's breakdown really had me intrigued...I actually wasn't even thinking of them when I wrote this. Forgot all about that....
This is awesome. Your writing never fails to impress me - you have such a great way of breaking things down into layers of thoughts and feeling. I also loved the way you had the characters (especially Mark) say so much with such spare and meaningful dialogue.
Of course, I loved the reconciliation; I loved that Mark broke through his defenses and helped her. But above all, I LOVED the drunk scene - the challenge to take off the shirt, Lexie rising to it and Mark being proud of her was awesome stuff.
:) thanks! I was really fond of the drunk scene too.
I love reading your comments...they're always so encouraging. I'm really glad you liked this, especially because I'm not usually well-versed in reconcilliation fics. I was a little nervous about this, but I'm glad you think it worked out well.
Although, the newest episode broke my heart. I would venture to say I hated it, except watching Lexie crumble like that just made me love her even more. I'm glad the writers let her have this breakdown and didn't just dismiss her.
Thanks so much for reading and for all of your kind words!
