you have this idea of people and who you think they should be, and sometimes it’s just not who they are. You try so hard to be the person you think they need and you start making all of these plans and you just assume everyone’s on the same page as you.
I think this is bang on and really insightful (and, I think, stems from a lot of complex emotions and impulses). Your writing style is lovely; and I very much like all the details you use, seamlessly, to create nuances and atmosphere.
"You weren’t a disappointment," Guh - connecting without quite connecting is so poignant, especially when it's Mark and Lexie.
I really enjoyed this fic; thank you for sharing it.
Your comment has left me at a loss for words! Thank you so much for reading, I'm thrilled you enjoyed this fic so much. I'm still trying to find Lexie/Mark moment wherever I can. I'm so glad you brought up "connecting without quite connecting" because with these two I feel like this happens so often and goes unnoticed by many people. Thanks again for reading! ♥
That was great I really envy the way you write. I can't to the almost, the angst, but I need Mark and Lexie. Thank you for giving it to me in such a beautiful and insightful package.
*hugs* Thank you! I know, I know. I wish I was better with fluff. I'll set out to write fluff and it always turns into angst, angst, angst. It's frustrating, I know! Glad you enjoyed it!
You're too sweet! *hugs* I'm glad you found humor in my vanity line...*grins* The looking for approval thing is so Lexie, in my opinion, and I love that you related to that. I'm like that myself from time to time. I'm so very excited that you liked this-- it means so much to me coming from you! Thank you for the beautiful review! ♥ ♥ ♥
Thank you for writing this!! It's a really good piece, so very like them, saying a lot, but notsaying anything..*sighs* I loved how both of them were vulnerable in their own way I just hope we see something like this on the show, some interaction dealing with the aftermath of everything
Why thank you! Oh, at this point I'm just praying for some adult conversation between Lex and Mark...they owe us at least that much. I'm terrified they'll just move on and never say anything more about the subject of their relationship. *sigh* I love that you enjoyed this!
