I'm finally, finally!, getting over the nastiest stomach flu I've had this side of 2006. It's not so much getting sick that annoys me (though did it have to happen on Christmas day, really?), it's the fact that it took me about a week to be able to eat normally again ( Read more... )

I am so sorry that you have been sick, that is an awful thing to happen at this time of the year (or any time really). I am glad you are starting to feel better. *hugs*

And yeah, we're well into 2011, so far into it I am going to bed!

Yes, it always suck being sick--but I find that stomach flu is even worse when you've eaten a lot the previous day. In 2006, it happened on January 2. We all remember it quite vividly, I have to say. :D

I totally agree about first seasons--right now, I'm watching Farscape's Thank God it's Friday... Again, and it hurts. It really does. Less than Jeremiah Crichton, but still.)

The first season of SGA remains my favorite, not so much for the quality of the plotting, but because they were lost and cut off from Earth. I do wish McKay wasn't treated like a buffoon, though. :)

And the first season of Babylon 5 has nice moments here and there--but for the most part, it's just something you have to suffer through until you get to the good stuff...

And oh, yes, ST TNG... Well, all first seasons of Star Trek were bad, even DS9, but TNG was atrocious (I especially remember the one where there's a kind of oily blob representing Pure Evil. Heeee).

I had a nice, quiet holiday. A bit sick on New Year's but nice even with that. :-)
