Dell/UPS question

Jun 26, 2008 18:26

So, I got an email from Dell saying that my computer would be delivered today by UPS.

Except nothing came and when I go to the UPS site, it says, "UPS HAS REQUESTED A DELIVERY INTERCEPT FOR THIS PACKAGE / INTERCEPT REQUEST WAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED"

Any idea what happened? Anyone? Should I be worried?

Does that mean someone else has gotten your package now? Have you asked your neighbors? Sometimes they get the packages when the actual person to get it isn't there. Have you called UPS?

I have no idea. If they came, they were very, very discreet, because there was someone home all day. (Of course, if they knocked on the door instead of ringing the bell, that might explain why we didn't hear anything).

I'm not sure they'd have given it to the neighbors...

And since they were supposed to come from 9am to 6 pm, I haven't called them yet; I'm assuming no one works there after 6 pm...

I'm so sick of ordering stuff from the internet. That'll teach me, lol.

Yes, it finally arrived. :)
Thanks for asking...

Now, all I have to do is to install a wi-fi connection. Should be easy (she says, looking warily at the box).

Doesn't dell have a site tracker too, I'm sure it does. Intercept makes me think they wanted to stop the delivery, not make it...:(

The Dell tracker tells me it's with UPS. :) Of course. It's listed as "in transit" again on the UPS site, so, I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

Tu l'as commandé en Belgique?

I have no idea what that means- when they delivered our computers, they left them out in the rain! in November.
We were not happy. I'd call Dell and ask.

Thanks! If I don't get it today, I'll do that.

And yay! Another infuriating story about UPS. And DHL isn't much better...
