Who: Athena and Perseus What: Athena's morning run When: Friday, early morning Where: Olympia docks and surrounding area Warnings: Athena's short running shorts.
Like usual in the mornings, he looked into the mirror with a large grin. He shook his head of fix up his already messy brown hair before giving his mom a kiss on the cheek and saying farewell.
Unlike most teenage boys his age, Perseus was the morning person. He loved the mornings and usually woke up around five to six in the morning. Not to mention he had to. He worked at the docks and helped out a little before he had to head out to school.
He tightened his worn roller blades more firmly before jumping on the sidewalk and soaring off. The wind was now in his face and he could smell the scent of the ocean water close by.
Athena followed her normal morning route, following Dynami on the ground as she soared through the trees. Her runners thudded against the pavement of the roads, the occasional crunch of gravel falling on her ears. Her stomach rumbled, and she looked forward to a traditional breakfast of cheese and one of her only vices, a dark cup of strong coffee.
He rubbed his stomach feeling it rumble in hunger. He was out the door so quick that he forgot about breakfast. "Crap." he muttered as he bladed down the road.
He pulled out some of the cash he had in his pocket and counted. He only had a few dollars. He shrugged; it was at least enough to buy a hash brown and a carton of milk. It was something.
He stopped for a minute and counted before he blasted off even faster than before, passing a couple runners as he cheerfully yelled as he always did these mornings.
Athena slowed and moved to the side as a teen whizzed past her on a pair of skates and startled her almost to the point of knocking her over. She grinned, shaking her head. It was probably Perseus, as he always passed her this early in the morning.
"Oi!" she called, turning around and cupping a hand around her mouth. "It's too early for you, kid! Go back home and go to bed!"
