Theoretically I recently quite all of my jobs. We'll see how well that goes, I seem to be busier than ever, so it really doesn't feel like much of a change

I'm sorry to hear that you can empathize with my feeling about computers. I think, I just want computers to be fun again, and I'm no longer convinced that working with them is the way to go for that to happen...
I definitely find that an extended vacation works.
But for me, I feel like I've hit the limit of how much computers (in and of themselves) can offer me. I've extended my reach way beyond them and use them only as a tool now.
Oh, it's some kind of holiday to make sure that we have a long weekend in August holiday. Canada is very careful to have at least one long holiday per month every month in the summer. According to Wikipedia :
