I really enjoyed reading this .... You have written it so well... The whole thing about Asking - Listening is so pertinent to our daily lives. And now a days such a skill even. Well Done :)

By the way this has got me curious about Anna and her world too. Where do I get to read the other entry about her ?

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The other piece was very short, for the prompt about cutting the cards. Where I mention it, that's actually a link to it.

I love how you've taken the "psychic gift as burden" thing and made it so unique and fresh. Well-written, and so engaging to read!

Thank you, very much, for that. I was feeling rather tropish, and not very fresh about what I'd done.

I like the magical aspect of this and how deftly you weave it into a more realistic world!

Thank you! I never thought I'd hear "deftly" applied to my writing, heh.

How sad that Anna's gift-- so new to her-- led her to misinterpret what she saw in her future with Eliot. Though perhaps that was never her passion anyway, but only his, and there was no hope for it because it was one-sided.

I've always thought uncontrolled telepathy would be an awful thing. Noisy and miserable, given that most of us will focus on slights more than compliments, and you would "hear" both in that state but probably only retain the one you didn't want.

I just...couldn't help but go there. That, in this day and age, if I were back in college and alone with a guy and drinking and suddenly felt WTF IS HAPPENING HERE, that I'd immediately think I'd been drugged. Maybe I've gotten too cynical in my old age.
