Yes! I could hear all their voices in my head as I was reading this. Especially Max. I'm growing to love Max more and more. This was really good. Spot on with the characterization.
I remember my temp went to 104 when I had salmonella and I vaguely remember asking them to kill me. I was hurting so bad all over I was crying.
