Closing karma

For five months I have been trying to work up the courage to put a copy of Special Delivery in my hand, walk down the street to the local co-op, and hand the produce manager a book. Today I finally managed it.

It would be nice if I didn't have the anxiety/shyness AND the compulsion to pay off karma, but oh well.

This is such a great story, and I'm sure he's flattered that such a casual comment ended up having such an impact.

The best part is he went off to the break room with the book with this devilish look on his face saying, "The next time people tell me to watch what I say, I'm telling them, 'No way. Sometimes a book comes out of it.'"

Which was pretty cool.
