I wasn't sure if you were still looking for a place to donate. One good organization I can think of is the Lupus Foundation of America. They do a lot of good work as far as Lupus research and education.
Kiva.com is really cool as well. It's a microlending project that gives money to people living in developing nations to start businesses.

I'm going to do a Lung cancer org (for my mother's father), possibly a stroke org (for my grandmother-mom's mom), humane society (possibly local) for my complete undying love of all furry animals, a heart org (because my uncle had heart problems and eventually passed), a Lupus foundation (for you), St. Susan's (for 'world' hunger)....
Then maybe something for the environment (no clue what), the (local) salvo, hurrican victims, and maybe a youth org. I have to finalize those though.

awwww. Thanks. I would actually rather donate time, and I did that for a while at the soup kitchen, but it was just putting food on a plate, and I wanted more of an impact than that. I'm thinking maybe I will volunteer at a vet's office or something.....my cash donations won't really be that big but I will do what I can :)

but no matter what...what you are doing is awesome!!! I have been in such a rut lately that i forgot what maturity looks like!!
