You don't have them in stores over there? I've seen seeds to order online, but I have never bothered, even if I really wanted a plant like this for a long time :) Maybe Cody (I just assume it's he who wants the plant, Ethan still seems a bit young for interests like that *lol*) would be interested in growing one from a seed? :)

yep its cody. I havent seen them in stores. but then we live in a small rural area. I looked for seeds online yesterday. still didnt find one I could live with. when the shipping and handling is as much as a pack of seeds thats a bit much for me!

Your new pet is so super cool:) There is a sign near those plants at Rotterdam zoo saying: "don't tickle the plants" :) They burn energy to close a leaf, and without a fly in it the poor plants where exhausted and starving from al the visitors who wanted to check if the leaves still work:) I wonder if you can handfeed such a plant with left-over meat bits?

I will for sure try and feed it bugs! In winter we just have occational spiders surring around, but in sommer, it can munch away :) It says on directions to leave it in bright sunlight, and never let the soil dry out. Shouldn't be too hard, except in winter, when we don't have sunlight at all. Hope it will survive.
