Getting hitched

Stig asked me today if I wanted to marry him. I said yes, of course, and it truly feels like the right thing to do.
It's a thought that has been developing for quite a while with both of us, so after living together for 6 years, I guess it's about time.
No details decided, except that we want to do it this year, and preferably early fall. Yay :)

Congratulations :) My sister was with her hubby for 12 years before they got engaged!

My father has been with his significant other for 18 years, and they have no plans of ever getting married. They have already done that, and doesn't feel like doing it again. I doubt marriage will change our relationship, but it will be great to have the legal issues sorted out at least :)

Congratulations!!! You have to keep us posted on the wedding plans! My hubby and I lived together 2 years before we were married. I have to ask... how did Stig pop the question? My hubby isnt exactly "mr romantic" and one afternoon while we were stuck in a traffic jam he looked at me and said "Want to get married?" LOL (we'll celebrate 12 years married this May).

I think our guys must be related. We were driving home after visiting stigs parents this weekend. The weather was dreafull, heavy snow and really slippery roads, and risk ov avalanches from the mountainside. Half way home he took my hand, squeezed it tight, and just asked if I would like to marry him. It wasn't down on the knees with roses and diamonds, but it was modest and honest, just like Stigs personality, and I wouldn't want a proposal any other way :)
I'll update about weddingplans when there is something to update, right now it still feels a bit unreal and surreal, and I have no idea where to even start making plans :) All I know is that I want chocolate cake! And it's not going to happen in a church with a horrid wite dress, for sure :)
