this one had me tearing up so much. so much support from Steve, Rachel and Stan.

Steve will have to go back to work sooner than Danny is ready to and by him being with Grace, Rachel, Stan and Charlie, he'll always be around someone and still have his alone time when he needs it...and Steve totally gets and supports that. and he'll get to see Steve whenever he wants as well.

I have such high hopes that being with them will further help Danny

yeah Danny can be within the family unit to reconnect and it means he and Steve can take things slow and steady - so he gets the best deal :D

The reunion with Grace was as beautifully emotional as I knew it would be. And I love how wonderful Rachel and Stan were being as well and I especially liked Rachel wanting to apologize for having the memorial service--she didn't want to lose hope but she had to look out for Grace.

The Chin/Kono reunion was just as lovely and if Steve hadn't shot Hess, Chin and Kono wold have gladly taken turns kicking the crap out of him before shooting Hess themselves.

The McDanno are just fabulous together and I love how supportive Steve is of Danny--Steve's not pressuring him at all and that's helping to restore Danny to his true self.

"Kids have a tendency to spontaneausly combust when over excited." I was the type of child that would get so excited that I'd make myself sick so my parents wouldn't tell me about a family party or event until the day of :)

I've just added to the Grace scenes, the one where they are on the beach together talking I've just added tonight. I thought I needed a little more of a father/daughter reunion where Danny tries to explain what happened without scaring her senseless.

And the whole moving Danny in with Rachel/Stan was a quick addition also. I figured it would make sense, letting Danny have time with Grace and giving him and Steve space enough to move things slowly along, plus Danny will need to become independent again knowing Steve isn't going to be there every day all day, so this eases him into it.

And yeah - I have neices, nephews and young cousins, so the over excitement is something I've witnessed. I think parents learn to be pragmatic about certain news events in their childrens lives to prevent over exposure of the squee variety ;p

Yeah I sobbed through the reunion with Grace as I expected to. You handled that very deftly. I'm glad Danny didn't lie to Grace and only gave her as much information as she could handle. He's still a great Dad.

I kind of hate to see Danny leave Steve's house but I think it is best for both Danny and Grace. Now it's on to the next chapter.

Happy tears I hope :D I added that scene last minute but yeah, I wanted it to be honest but obviously not giving away too much.

techinically he never moved in, as nothing permanent was discussed plus I think he needs to deal with stuff on his own but still around people as it were, get some independence back.

I thought Danny with Grace was so well done. I love how they are together and how he explained things to her. I'm surprised Danny is going to stay with Stan and Rachel but it will be good for him and Grace. Wonder how he will see Steve.
I'm also glad of how supportive Steve is and always has been with Danny. Boy that part with Danny getting scared about being alone got to me. Glad Steve calmed him down and let him know that he is there for Danny and would support whatever Danny choose to do....excellent.

Staying with Rachel, Stan, and Grace - that was one step I didn't see coming. I can't believe the next chapter's the last!
