[ police filter ]Both Chris Skelton and Sam Tyler have left the City and the police force even more short-handed than before, and it's been brought to my attention that while we have a number of consultants on call, that kind of position is not really publicly advertised ( Read more... )

Huh. They're both gone. Great.

.. it couldn't hurt, I guess.

I can think of at least one scenario where it could hurt, but that would mostly boil down to chosing the wrong kind of people for the position, and that's a danger that I'd like to think we'd be able to avoid.

Yeah. They're both gone.

You know I'm good for helping out when you need it. I've been on call for awhile.

Also, Truth.

Yeah, I know, and thank you. Right now I'm pretty much just trying to figure out how it could work, or whether it'd be best just to leave things as they are, maybe advertise the consultant position a bit more... What's your take?

What's the longest relationship you've ever had? Romantic relationship, that is.

Well with the crime rate here fluctuating as much as it does, it'd be nice for people like me who specialize in a certain area. Allows people time to commit themselves to other things too, like youth centers and self defense courses.

Hmm... I was with a girl for almost three years. Thought I'd be with her for life but she wasn't so into me once I got injured and couldn't play football professionally anymore.

Yeah, that's kind of the idea behind it, I suppose. That people who have knowledge or skills useful to the police force but who don't want to make it a full-time job can still be helpful.

I'm sorry. That's a shitty thing to do.
