DBC (Darling Baby Child, our nickname for our daughter since she was born) is still in labor, meds are somewhat controlling it and the Grandson has moved to a head-down orientation. Perhaps Alexander knows something we don't know ( Read more... )

OMG

Sounds like the WPfH failed her dice roll for schedule understanding. That or the Bride and Groom failed to communicate to her about how they wanted things to happen.

As for the "purse hook" -- was it a hook? If so, it's a coat hook for Tux-tails...I guess...it if was one of those floppy shelf things, I haven't a clue.

I'm so glad I'm dealing with a Bridezilla who has no fasion sense instead.

Burst my bubble. It was a hook. Shows you how little time I spend in men's bathrooms.

The WPfH was just nasty to everyone and got on the DJ's nerves so bad.

I work with the bride. She's OCD with schedules (it's an accountant thing). I'd be surprised if she didn't communicate well.

The hook would be for jackets, particularly tailcoats. And the occasional man purse. :D

Sounds like things are really moving along with the baby. Wow! Is your daughter home or back in the hospital? Hopefully, if at home, the hospital is close by...

Ya, tail coats. *sigh*

She's home, on meds, still having contractions (7 minutes apart if she doesn't take her meds) and she's an HOUR AND A QUARTER from her OBs hospital.

she's an HOUR AND A QUARTER from her OBs hospital.

Um, that's not good. Is there any way she can get situated closer, as in no more than a five minute drive? A hotel room rented, or friends that don't mind a short-term stay for someone in fairly urgent need?

I went into precipitous labor 10 days early and thanked all the powers that be that we live 5 minutes drive from the county hospital. That was the longest 5 minutes of my life.

We're not too worried. While her CHOSEN hospital is 1.25 hours away She's only 10 minutes from the nearest hospital in York, PA so in case of an emergency, she could always go there. And an EMT lives next door, in case of a really bad emergency. Oh, three doors down is an RN.

So far she's holding her own. Off work, off her feet and medicated.
