Yes, our first. My daughter is an only child and has Grave's Syndrome. She had her thryoid irradiated about 10 years ago in an effort to control the problem. She's had difficulty managing her thyroid replacement levels and pregnancy was thought to be rather unobtainable. So this is quite unexpected, even though they haven't been doing anything to prevent it for the last 18 months.
We could not be more thrilled but at the same time we're concerned with her health. The baby is due two days before her 35th birthday. I have to tell you, when she told us the news, you were part of my first thought, which was "Thank goodness she had her gall bladder out in April!" I remember what you went through with having a cranky gall bladder and then getting pregnant.
Nothing beats being a gramma. Just you wait. I'm way excited for you!! But don't EVER call me and say something that exciting followed by "hold on" ever AGAIN.
