So tonight's the premiere of the second season of H50. It's been entirely too long an off season for the show, as far as I'm concerned. (In my brain, at least. I do realize that writers need time to, you know, write the show. Even if write may be too generous a term for a show that doesn't pay particularly close attention to plot and such

Danno has an accent?

Well, accent might be putting it too strongly. Accents, as you know, are a tough thing for television to pull off. Shows seldom hire natives of the place they're set, and too much regionalism (accent or specific words) will confuse a lot of people.

But what I appreciate about the performance by Scott Caan is that he gives enough of a Jersey inflection to the performance (not so much accent as little linguistic touches that are close enough that I don't wince in agony) that I don't get kicked out of things.

For me it's more a cadence in his speech that makes him feel much more east coast than west, and definitely not someone raised in Hawaii.

Actually I was teasing. Being from joisey I get that a lot about having an accent although I never hear it LOL

I may have replied before I'd eaten properly. That's my excuse for missing the irony in the comment.

However, I will say this; I'd like to see the piece of fan fic that describes Steve's bemusement as Danno attempts to pump his own gas then. ;-}
