Can't give this post the proper thought at the moment, but bookmarked for later reading. For once, I have actually read both of the fics you mentioned! And loved them both, with "Put Your Mind at Ease" in particular hitting all kinds of buttons I didn't know I had.

I love everything about this post. It helps me to understand why Put Your Mind At Ease has haunted me, in a hot way, but nevertheless in a can't let it go way, ever since I read it.
