health update

This will be known in future days as the Week of Cellulitis. (Probably to be expanded to Two Weeks of Cellulitis by the end, but I hope not more than that.) I woke up last Monday to a sizable red area on my left calf, which might with imagination have been described as bull's-eye-ish, so my first thought was tick bite-Lyme disease. A colleague in my office had cellulitis on her lower leg last summer. Her entire leg ended up being swollen. Unfortunately, her immune system was not as robust as yours, and she ended up being sick for far longer than two weeks--it took her most of the summer to shake it, even on heavy-duty antibiotics...

My sympathies, that's quite an unpleasant malady.

I was about to tell a similar story about a colleague with cellulitis on his lower leg a year ago... it did take some time, but they beat it, and so will you! Hooray for healthy immune systems!!
