*sniffle* Ooh, I love your angst. I can't believe it's almost over. But, I guess mental health first. I could see how this emotionally gripping story may be taking you some dark places. It know it's steering me in that direction. But, then I have a little angsty monkey on my back, jonesing for a constant fix
( ... )
You can pretend that's the end if you want. ;)) I thought it would have made a mellow, open-ended, realistic ending, but then I realized there wasn't any real pay off for the readers who've sifted through the miles of angst. And, basically, when it comes down to it, I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Thanks for reading!
Albright is another shady little character that I kind of like. She's very much the politician. My favorite line was the one about not having the luxury of personal integrity. The fact that she thinks its a luxury says it all to me. And yeah, breaking it down there in front of the chief was pretty cold-blooded, but he was no longer an asset to her and Erica was. Very bitchtastic, hehe.
Well, you can only let someone step on your feelings so many times without it affecting you. Even though Erica wasn't doing it with any kind of malicious intent, she was being pretty harsh to Callie. And poor brilliant but emotionally stunted Erica finally read the writing on the wall. Too bad she took so long.
Thanks for sticking around. I'm pleased that you liked it. And there's only one more to this part of the story. I have some other stuff floating around in my head though. Again, thanks!
It truly is sad they couldn't have put some aspect of this into the show, because it certainly would have made better sense, but it's all history now. I'm happy you've provided the proper look.
Again, it all feels real. Albright, boy, she's a worse ball-buster than Erica, but at least she's up-front about it. The business of a hospital is just about as brutal as the surgeries, and I applaud Albright for not pulling any punches but *still* managing to keep the outcome from becoming a death sentence for Seattle Grace.
After all this, I can't imagine Callie and Erica taking a "four month break," though it sounds good on paper and would certainly be the right thing. I just can't fathom it.
Okay, now this is going to sound odd, but I liked this line: "Erica found Callie at the nursery, watching the newborns sleep and fuss." I mean, I liked it because that's totally what newborns in a hospital nursery DO, plus it was just perfect for Callie to be there.
The show...*sigh*. I don't even know what to say to that. That old training of my parents 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all' comes to mind
