Yeah, I appreciated that we did get some backstory, but it was definitely the least interesting aspect of the ep. And you're totally right on the Jay and Silent Bob thing!

In a way, I'm glad they did that, because it showed that Paul isn't *just* obsessed with the Dollhouse - he was hurt by her leaving and worried about her. He truly cares and maybe even moreso now that she's gone.
And I agree that Mellie is the real deal, modified by the imprint. It was significant that what she held onto in the glitches was Paul.
I was so hoping that Mellie wasn't a doll yet and that she was the one we'd see from before to after, but I guess that's going to be this Sam guy, huh?
