A Few More Things

A few things I picked up around the lj world today:

1) The reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse is that you cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal", "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery", and "Thou Shalt Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile working environment.

I love how that Bob Parks guy seems to think that rap came from white liberal politicians. Maybe Snopes should take a look at him.

I don't believe he says it comes from them, he says that they promote it as being "authentic" (my word, not his) black culture.

As for Snopes, not only do I take any site that claims to know the ultimate truth with a grain of salt but...man, what a party-pooper that site is.
