I had no idea that Vienna and Bratislava were so close to each other until this entry made me look it up! That makes me excited because I do want to visit both cities! I admit that several years ago, it never occurred to me that I would want to visit Eastern Europe, but my dad had a conference in Slovakia and my mom went with him so they could make a small vacation out of it... I was absolutely stunned by the photos they showed me. It looked like such a beautiful place! As for Vienna... well, I think with my stomach, and I figure I can't go wrong if I visit a place that's known for their desserts. XD

Bratislava and Vienna might be the closest capital cities in the world, they are only about 60 km away from each other! :D

You are always welcome to stay at my home if you ever visit! I didn't know your parents visited! Bratislava is just a tiny tiny part of what Slovakia can offer, the things we are most proud of would be our nature and castles! :D

And yes, Vienna is full of sweets, it's their tradition!! Especially the famous Sachertorte!

Pft, forget London and Rome, you have sweet, sweet castles! Maybe one day I will not be poor and can see them. c:

Visiting that friend seems very troubling...but perhaps meeting her and her girlfriend won't be so bad. Maybe they will become your friend as well.

;w; That fabric is so cute. I've never used rakuten though. I hope someone else can help.

Oh yes!! This is what we Sloaks are the most prod of, our castles and nature! Bratislava is just a tiny part of what Slovakia has to offer <333

Well, we will see how it works out. If I talk about it to her about this, then not now when she just arrived here a few days ago. Rather some time before she goes back to Japan...we'll see.

Rakuten is easy to use, the only thing I want to know is how much you get for that price etcetc. I think I will contact FJ too about this, thankfully it's Thursday, so they should be able to answer my question by tomorrow!

One day I was to be able to afford to just go look at cool castles. c: I love them a lot.

Hope it goes well!

That's so cool that you got to meet her! It would be so fun to go to other countries like that. And I didn't know you lived close to Vienna. It seems like a really pretty city ( ... )

Oh definitely! My dad even asked me: "Why aren't you going with them??" haha X'D
I would have loved to, but I have things to do now and not that much time. Well, if I can visit Finland and live at Laura's place, might as well use that :D

Oh, I agree!! Honestly, I hope I don't sound like I am dramatic or sad, I am actually super fine as of now, but I might get very emotional when we will talk about it. I think I will just ask her when she is going to leave and ask her if she has time before she leaves back to Japan...

Thank you so much for the explanation! As of now, FJ didn't contact me yet, but hawlucha gave me an Amazon JP link to the fabric under you, and that one seems more reasonable!!! So I went for those immediately! :D

Haha it's understandable. It's kind of hard to just up and go to another country without planning anything. XD But yeah, having somewhere to stay definitely makes it easier!

Oh no, not at all! I hope you have a good time, and find the right moment to tell her.

Awesome, I'm glad you were able to get some! And like Hawlucha said, the difference between the two links is the type of the fabric (I forgot that that was the main question about them in your post... haha). The first is regular cotton fabric, and the other one is quilted cotton, which is usually two layers of cotton fabric with a thin quilt batting sandwiched between, and then the whole thing is quilted. :D Are you planning on making something out of your fabric? I love Pokemon fabric~ hehe

Yeah, exactly! As of now, I am fine with things and I don't want to go anywhere for now XD

Ooooh, thank you so much!!! I have been contemplating whether I should make a pillow out of the fabric, it will depend on how big it is. If it's not too big, might as well just keep them mint for collector's sakes. Not 100% sure yet :D

I think the less "popular" parts of Europe are the most beautiful, to be honest ;w;

I found the same fabric on Amazon!

http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00LM30PWM/

Ordering from Rakuten is the same as ordering on Amazon if you use Fromjapan, but I'm sure it shouldn't be hard with other middlemen either :o getting a higher quantity probably grants you a bigger piece of fabric, but I would ask the middleman just to be sure.

(I wanted to get some of this fabric too for OBVIOUS REASONS but since I'm already spending money for items more Hawlucha-centric, I decided this can wait XD)

...I also wanted to say something about the friend who got a GF, but I am literally birdbrained and known for just making a mess in love situations... so I will just suggest you to trust your instincts on this one. Do what you mostly feel is right to do..! Wish I could give you a better advice ah..

...also wait..! By looking at them again, I think I know what the difference is between the two Rakuten links. One of the fabrics appears to more like.. plaid? I can see white sewing lines all across it, so I wonder if that's the case, the difference being the material :o

OOOOOOH, thank you so much for the links, I think this will be easier to buy them XD <33
I have bought them right away, as it seems that this will be around 50x50 cm? More than enough XD
I always use FJ, as you can make the value go down when they ship it. Others don't do that and it's ridiculous for us Europeans who have to pay customs :/

That is actually a good point!!! I think the material is the same, just that the stitched one might have some filling on them (if you look at the squares, they seem to be "filled").

Yeah, we will see how the meeting today (if I go to Vienna today) and tomorrow will be like. I still don't think it would be smart to talk about it to her now.

There's a girl named Mia who does a go-between for Rakuten. I used her to buy 2 of my mirage Blastoise plush from there! She's very professional and I was pleased with her service. I don't remember her site with the prices, but her email is miakyou@hotmail.com :)

If I were in Europe I'd certainly come visit you! OMG, since it's you, not just because I think ALL places in Europe have amazing history and I would love them. It's just expensive to get out of the US. We're so big, but little history. I want to go to old places!

The difference between the two fabrics is the background. The one labeled A says Navy (dark blue) and B says Black. :)

Oh, I know that the colours are different, it's just hard to buy from the seller if you don't know how exactly you buy them XD

Thank you for the contact! I already use FromJapan to help me buy things from Rakuten, or Amazon JP and such, as this makes things a lot easier for me and I can combine!

Oh man, hearing you and the others that commented makes me happy that people appreciate the smaller things too! ;w;
Our country is beautiful to go to, especially going to mountains and visit castles! We have such a huge monarch history, and I am glad all of that was kept <3

You know, I read someone else's comment and misunderstood the question about the lots. :P

Do you have any natural places that is nice? Like a garden or forest? I enjoy visiting those too!
