>headdesk< I would feel a little better if you were doing it with me - I actually went to email you about my dilemma, but it turned into the various voices in my head* arguing on the page and there was little point in sending it to you because I wasn't really talking to you anymore, and then a limit was put on the number of participants and there were ten places left, and I would have regretted it if I hadn't signed up, but it's still really very scary.
That was what I thought, but I knew the places would have gone. Perhaps it's a good thing - the worst that can happen is that I'll get knocked out of it. And since there are some really talented authors who have signed up, I'm going to have to resign myself to the fact that the chances of me not getting knocked out long before the end are slim to none. At least if I do this I won't feel scared of timed challenges in the future. I'm definitely going to do the Unusual First Line challenge on time_and_chips though.
