I remember that when I watched "Whistle!" with my sister, we both kept having that thought "Why does Fuwa-senpai remind us of Kaidoh from 'Prince of Tennis' so much..." And then we discovered that both had the same seiyuu XD Well, doesn't change the fact that their personalities are indeed somewhat similar.

I think I had problem with saying which twin is who, when I first read the manga. Then I just used their Surplices to say which one is who. And in LC, even though I knew they had different hair colours it took me a while to remember that Thanatos' was darker. orz

Same seiyuu, same type of face, but with a far hilarious personality. :D

IMO it's mostly because Hypnos and Thanatos are not really distinguishable personality-wise, except that one is more patient --> not too prone to finishing off enemies too quickly. Other than that, I tend to think of them as clones of each other. ^^

For me they were really different in LC. Hypnos being more calculative and manipulative, and Thanatos quick-tempered and not quite planning ahead. Also he seems more arrogant and full of himself than Hypnos is. Sadly I don't remember my impression from TOS ^^;

Another proof that Teshirogi is paying attention to fandom concerns about TOS. ^^ And it might be a cliche but also satisfying that Hypnos and Thanatos are defeated by another pair of twins + Manigoldo.
