I am TIRED, y'all.

Last week, I volunteered at a Girl Scout day camp. It was hot, humid, and a lot of fun. I was outside from 8 AM til 4 PM every day except Friday when I stayed to help pack out the camp. I got home at 11PM that night, because the camp leader bought us dinner and drinks. I didn't actually indulge in any liquor because I would have crawled under the ( Read more... )

Cipro is nasty nasty stuff. I had it prescribed when I had tonsillitis some years back and my body _tolerated_ it, but it did a number on my gut. On the other hand, it did clear up the infection. I believe it is also what was prescribed to the people who got caught up in the Anthrax attacks/scares several years back. At the time, the news reports were expressing great sympathy for anyone who had to take this proactively because of the side effects.

I had it 10 years ago for a nasty sinus infection that lasted forever. I was given it this time for a case of gastroenteritis where I was knocked up for a few days and I could not..ahem...get off the pot and Immodium wasn't helping me.

In retrospect, I should have just stayed on the couch a few more days. Srsly.

Cipro is scary.

I could not imagine being outside all day everyday in this weather, I hope that you can catch up on your rest this week. I've been doing alot of napping with the tv babysitter as well, Sam has been restless at night and I am so so tired in the morning I can barely function.

It was pretty nasty, but being out there from when it was cooler in the morning to the hot part of the day made it more bearable. It wasn't that instant-furnace blast like when you walk out from the house. Now, being stuck out there after a thunderstorm when it immediately starts steaming? SUUUUUUUCK.

(Okay, I'll stop whining!)

Yeah, it's been stupid humid out - and it's still technically not summer yet. Gonna be a scorcher this year.

I'm worried about that as well. I fear August will be "give up and die" territory.

We were out in the heat most of Sunday, and I just could not stay hydrated...

In the 8-9 hours I was out each day (except for mega-Friday), I was regularly drinking 5-6 20oz bottles of water and I was still "feeling" thirsty. It was just so damned muggy.
