Question for the Northeasterners...

What in the world is up with having Dunkin Donuts every 2 blocks? On our drives around Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts, we were stocked at your apparent carb needs...

pondering, silly

Dude, I don't know what's up with Rhode Islanders and Dunkin' Donuts, but they flat like some Dunkin' Donuts. I visited a friend and her husband about 8 years ago and there was always a line. In Rhode Island, though, when they want some doughnuts, they say to whomever they're trying to coerce to get them "Baby, why don't you get us some pastries." I got all excited thinking there were going to be, you know, pastries.

It's a freaky sort of love. Except for the whole "Gee whiz! We can make a wedding cake out of them!" media blitz, you rarely hear southerners get all religious about Krispy Kreme.

I would have been disappointed as well! How often does a modern gal get to enjoy pastries?

Well, if you're me, you enjoy pastries from time to time. But I don't like to be teased.

I wouldn't dare tease. I rarely get a pastry, unless sometimes buying a single slice of decadent cake counts.

I'm much more of an ice cream gal, even though I like to think of myself as a pastry gal.

Heh, Jessica's dad used to do site selection for Dunkin Donuts... We had stacks of coupons for free dozens in college... They seem to have dissappeared around here now though. Fine with me, I prefer Krispy Kreme, and only seem to eat Donuts a couple of times per year anyway.
