So I sit before you today as someone who has finished the big bad unfinished story of my lifetime. In doing so I think I did something that makes me fear for my fic life. Here's hoping people will think I'm as smart as I think I am right now. Well, Nic encouraged me to do it when I told her my plan so you can blame her too. :) Muhahaha

Sweet Jeebus, that food porn looks amazing...and inspiring. I've been pondering what to do with some corn meal my uncle gave me from the corn he grew in his garden; now, I believe I'll try my hand at polenta.

It's super easy. The ratio is 3:1 I believe--though if its getting to thick I just pour more water in and stir like hell and it seems to work itself out. The trick is to start with boiling water or stock and pour the corn meal in a steady stream. You MUST stir it constantly or it has a nasty habit of sticking to the bottom and clumping together. They say you have to cook it for 20 minutes but I've never found that to be the case, once it is a reasonable consistency and not gritty in your mouth add a whole heaping of cheese. Whatever kind you like. It takes all cheeses equally.
