(x-posted to abandonedplacesWell, it was bound to happen sometime. Home from college for a holiday with a car = exploration. While the rest of the country partook in raging capitalism on Black Friday, we were headed for places abandoned. well its not that creepy, however i did worry about the asbestos signs. you shouldnt be breathing in that shit either. my grandfather died of lung cancer that he got from working in an asbestos plant. i also learned that through that, he was bringing those chemicals home on his clothes and such. be very careful, that stuff never leaves your body!!!!

Ooo fun! =) Thanks for sharing! Waiting for more...

There are ways of making your interior shots less blurry. I get nervous sometimes too! First, of course, there's using a tripod but they are bulky and hard to maneuver over stacks of fallen plaster and debris. There are also things you can do to your camera. Next time you're going to take interiors (this is assuming there's some light in there), set your ISO to a higher number, like 400, 800, or 1000. That will make them less blurry (though slightly more grainy). And of course, if you're shooting in the apterture-priority setting, open up your aperture. I usually shoot at about 5.6 in indoor settings. Do these things before walking in, because nerves make it hard to remember! Then undo them when you get back outside. I just learned the ISO thing last May! Its amazing what these cameras can do that I don't know anything about... =P

I only use my flash when its really dark. I don't like the way my pictures look with flash. They're so unnatural!
