I STILL haven't had my hair cut. It's a pain because if I am leaving the house I have to curl it to keep it from splitting too much on the top, where all the scars and balding are, and I hate having to do that. I just want to be able to brush my hair and go, not spend so much time curling and styling it! I still haven't decided on what exactly I ( Read more... )

This may be an extreme / uneccessary measure but maybe a (real-hair) wig would be useful? I remember one of my LJ friends revealed years and years ago that she wore wigs because she had a anxiety condition since she was a teen that caused her to pull out her hair. I NEVER would have guessed she was wearing wigs, though in retrospect it made sense since her hair always looked flawless.

Good luck with the sleep specialist! I need to make my Valentine card too. :D

Are you talking about Chrissy? I think that was her name.. I was friends with her when she was on LJ forever ago and I remember always thinking how she had the most perfect hair and then she revealed that she always wore wigs because of that reason. You would never know! I actually do have a wig, but I have this problem with my head where I had to have some bone replaced with titanium mesh and then everything between my skin and the mesh started to atrophy and now there is just this very thin layer of skin covering the mesh. So then my doctor's told me that I really shouldn't wear a wig because my skin could easily be rubbed away and that would be a HUGE problem. Strange, I know. I have the weirdest problems. Otherwise I definitely would attempt to go that way!

Thanks! I hope you got your card done! Mine is about halfway there, but Wes won't be home for another 4 hours, so hopefully I'll get it done! I'm taking a break right now. ;)

Yes, that's who it was :) I should have figured - I remember you talking about the issue with the mesh before. It sounds painful :(

It's not that painful, unless something hits/bumps/touches it. But I am hyper aware of anything coming near it, so that doesn't happen too often. It's all just more annoying than anything!
