Last night was cold. I got out the feather duvet and laid it on the bed, mentally saying goodbye to short sleeves and welcoming the cozy cold weather ( Read more... )

Edie sleeps under the covers with me, completely under and pressed up to me as close as possible. She's my little butt warmer most of the time. Since she's totally hairless and naked she gets a pass. The other dogs are so jealous lol.

Even though Greta sheds like a b*tch (heh), I used to let her sleep under the covers with me until Carey came along and really hated that there was always Greta hair EVERYWHERE. Since he came on the scene, Greta sleeps above the covers, I bought a Roomba, and I'm a lot more conscientious about her grooming. I hate to admit it, but it's much better this way- I used to send a small fortune in lint rollers.

The Peis shed SO MUCH, but only at certain times of the year. I'll find killer black and fawn hair bunnies in all the corners. I remember it being the same with my pugs! Little double coated bastards <3

At one point, I had three turtles- a box turtle named Herbie I had for 11 years, and two aquatic red-eared sliders named Woody and Suzanna that I bought in Chinatown. Herbie passed away after over a decade, and I had Suzanna for about 7 years. Now it's just Woody.
Here's a good picture of him swimming with some goldfish:

Ferris has always just slept on his bed. He will sleep on our bed when we're not there and he'll come up for a cuddle every morning after Marty gets up.

I can't wait until I can leave Fred out of his cage all the time. Part of the issue is that he gets into SOOO many things in the apartment it's tough to leave him unsupervised. There's a spot between the stove and the cabinet that leads into where I store pots - that's one of his favorite spots. Even though I block it up, he manages to get in there sometimes.
