Yesterday was a swipe at normalcy (as normal as I get, anyway). I managed to get out in the confusingly hot weather, and bought guide books for Barcelona and Paris as well as phrasebooks, and a beautiful journal and pen/pencil set for Mom for Mothers' Day. I couldn't resist, and stopped at Sephora on the way back, picking up this, these, and this. ( Read more... )

Another mini-brush kit?

How's that smashbox blush stuff?

The one I bought with you, though better quality, is twice the size. I'm trying to downsize my purse contents in an effort to avoid scoliosis.

The Smashbox stuff is *amazing*. I thought it was a bit pricey, but was looking for some "nude makeup." Tinted moisterizer, lemonaid, and this stuff and I'm good to go.

It goes on clear and when you spread it on your cheeks it darkens, and feels like liquid silk. Used it for the fist time this morning, and it blew my mind!

I know this sounds silly, but I blush hot pink. I feel like that wouldn't actually look nice on my cheeks!

This is definitely one of those things that you should try in the store. And it's in a tube for fingertip application, so you don't have to be creeped out about using something someone else touched.

I love lemonaid, btw - looking at your other comments.

I have the hard candy collection and I didn't care for the eye shadows. they were really...eh...hard to apply. It took like practically scraping them to get any color to put on at all. Don't know if that makes sense, but I wasn't happy with them. I liked the tiny mascara and eye liner though, and of course the lip glosses.

I went for the Sephora minitools because I absolutely loathe those foam-tiped eyeshadow applicators. I needs me an actual brush.

Ooo, what fun purchases! That blush stuff looks particularly awesome. The little kit reminds me of my play makeup when I was little :)

Your Monday night ritual sounds like fun. Jeff just isn't the person to snark tv with. He thinks I'm weird.
We used to have a similar ritual my freshman year of college. We'd all get together and watch Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Then we'd play cards and Candyland. So. Much. Fun. :D

I miss college tv hangouts, too. My freshman year, before cable was installed in everyone's rooms and we had to watch in the floor lounges, all the girls would get together for Melrose Place and Ally McBeal, doing our nails and eating popcorn and stuff. And having naked pillow fights. The usual.

I always shopping posts since I'm such a consumer whore and you have good taste. Anyway I always noticed the drugstore.com links but had never used it until the other day I tried it in an attempt to save money on razors and before I knew it, I had spent $100 on other stuff. Thanks for the tip, I think.

I love drugstore.com. Floride rinse becomes 70x more exciting when you have to order it, wait for it, and then get it delivered to your door. Plus, when I'm thinking about trying something new, I read the customer reviews first (and only buy five-star trash bags). Oh, and I can indulge my inner wuss and buy condoms and tampons and pimple cream without having to face a check-out person. Yay!
