1. After seeing The Social Network this weekend, I'm a little in love with Andrew Garfield (who played Eduardo Saverin in the movie).
Here's an Annie Liebovitz shoot he was in for Vogue with a Hansel and Gretel theme (Lily Cole is Gretel and Lady GaGa is the witch). Loves it. Also, Nextmovie presents some
alternate movie posters for the Social Network... they get funnier as you scroll down.
2. TV Thought #1: I'm really confused about something...
I am so confused about what happened at the end of the Mentalist last week... when they found Christina, she seemed catatonic, but there was a paintbrush on the chair and Rigsby made a comment about "that's how he got the blood out of her." Then we saw Patrick questioning her via seance and her claiming to be dead. Is she really dead, and Patrick just saw what he wanted to see in the house (self-preservation?), is she catatonic and her soul has moved on to another plane, or is she just crazy from the experience (someone said something about psychologists being on the way)? I was confused about whether we were seeing what was really happening or just Patrick's POV.
3. TV Thought #2:
I am loving all of the Tiva. Lots of Tony leaning around Ziva at her desk and in doorways, and the comment in last night's episode was adorable - that he'd tell her guy friend "Handle With Care: Contents Priceless." AWW. If only Gibbs would see that they are worth bending the rules for...
4. Not strictly an entertainment thought, but football is pretty much the main source of excitement here in Southwest Virginia this time of year. I hate that every store I go into, be it Wal-Mart or Dick's Sporting Goods, where one could expect to find college-branded merchandise, there is up to a whole wall of Virginia Tech stuff and one tiny rack of UVa stuff (if any at all). Yes, Roanoke is the closest big city to Blacksburg... but it's also two cities over from C-Ville! THERE ARE A LOT OF UVA GRADS HERE AND WE WOULD ALSO LIKE JACKETS AND SEAT CUSHIONS AND WHATEVER.
until next time,
