Putting things into perspective

   Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset?  Does it really matter now?
As you can see, the mind-freeing question for today has two parts, and it doesn't fit into the entry title space. It's not all a matter of perspective, which would be funny, it's simply too big.

What with the lack of jobs the days just sort of blend with one another for me. :(

That's great that you had such a great relationship with your grandmother. Mine took care of us when I was younger and my mom was at work, but these days she's 90 something and her mind has started to go. It's really sad when the older generations leave us. Were you close to your other grandparents? I only ever met my maternal grandmother because every other grandparent had already passed by the time I was born.

I never met my mother's father, he died before I was born, but I met both my great-grandmothers, and I loved them, although we didn't meet very often. My dad was adopted as a child, and I wasn't very close to his adoptive parents, since he wasn't either. It is really sad when the oldest in the kin die, although it's to be expected. It's a whole way of life slowly disappearing. The generations that lived through WWII are another sort of people altogether, somehow...
