So I caught Sherlock yesterday, being a fan of Moffat's writing on Who I had to give it a shot. I generally really like the series - I think the cinematography is great, the performances are stellar, the dynamic between John and Sherlock is pitch perfect, and the writing and dialogue are good. So yeah, I really do like it overall. There are a few ( Read more... )

I'm so happy with Tara right now, Goob. It's weird to be looking forward to episodes again. Also, ALCIDE PUT HIS ARM AROUND HER AND THERE WAS EXTREME HEIGHT-DIFFERENCE KINK GOING ON.

Her kicking Bill out of that van was so freaking awesome.

Don is the most pathetic character on television right now. I don't know what will trigger him to pull out of his 24/7 drunken stupor but he needs to get his shit together. I *hated* him hooking up with Allison. She had been pretty much the only person with whom he had a functional relationship. I practically cheered when Joey called him pathetic. No one worships Don Draper anymore.

You silly tiny man

LOL, perfect description of Peggy's non-entity of a boyfriend! He thinks he has so much game (I brought you cookies!) but he's so clueless.

The first episode of Sherlock was brilliant for setting up with Sherlock/Watson dynamic, but last night's ep really suffered because of that cringeworthy eastern exoticism angle they took. Really bizarre!

The whole thing with Allison was so hard to watch, particularly after that sweet friendly moment they had in the beginning of the episode. Don's just a total freaking mess right now and he's spreading it all over everyone he meets.

Yeah, Sherlock's first non-introductory plot was pretty disappointing, have to say. :/

Yeah, it's Stephen Moffat's latest series, it airs on Sunday night. Only three episodes though, so just one left.

There has been so, so much stuff this season that hasn't interested me in the slightest. :/ It's been just enough to keep me watching but my general enthusiasm for the show isn't what it used to be. I didn't even mention Jason and Sam's plots because I just can't give a crap right now, haha.

I haven't watched True Blood or Mad Men yet, but just finished the second Sherlock episode. I love the show, though I thought the first episode was better than the second. I sorta hated Sally in the first episode, but mostly I just thought she was a terribly flat and uninteresting character - which most everyone in the series likely will be aside from Sherlock, John, and maybe Sarah. Overall I liked it and I didn't really have a problem with it.

First episode was way better, I couldn't get past my WTF over the plot for the second episode. And I do have hopes for Sarah.
