Inception! I know I've been hyping this movie a lot. Not saying it was perfect, but I loved it and can't find any dealbreaking faults. It was original, extremely well put together, visually stunning, and plain COOL to watch.

This was the first film I've ever scene where I was actually thinking "how awesome is the sound editing in this scene"

OMG, I know right? How often do you ever think about sound editing?? It was really striking here though, with the subtle sounds of the spinning top, the dream machine or whatever making that pumping noise and the Edith Piaf fading in out at different levels of the dream. Awesome.

Needed some more lighthearted moments (THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE TOM HARDY)

Agreed, Tom Hardy was such a welcome presence, not only because of his smooth good looks! I liked that he & JGL's character had a bit of a contentious relationship--too adorable.

Yes yes and yes, to all those subtle sound details you listed. And I think the first time (of many) I went 'whoa' was during the foot chase when Cobb was squeezing between those two buildings and I actually heard the fabric of his jacket rubbing against the stone. THAT'S SOME SOUND EDITING.

Tom Hardy isn't someone I've seen a lot of before, but I was really impressed with him - and his smooth good looks, heh. Eames and Arthur's interactions made me grin every time.

oh god JGL's waistcoats deserved a line in the credits.

I love the OST too - the songs you listed are favorites, as are Old Souls and the fast paced ones like Dream Is Collapsing and Mombasa as well.

I don't like Ellen Page (I can't get over Juno) but I loved her in this and I loved Ariadne. SHE WAS THE WORLDBUILDER, THE MAZEMAKER. So awesome.

The three piece suit is my favorite thing in existence. BRB building JGL's wardrobe in this movie a shrine.

Hee I thought Juno was overhyped and overrated, but that wasn't her fault. XP BUT YES I LOVED HER CHARACTER.

Pretty much everyone was walking around in great suits in this movie, but Joe really stood out, all lean and tailored and shiny. hnnnnnng.
