Loved Amy Acker in this, she was fantastic. And I have this love/hate thing going with Topher. I like him on the show but I'm not sure I ship him with anyone in fic world. Maybe Ivy. And his video games.
I still don't like Paul -- at all -- and I wish Boyd were still Echo's handler.
I wish they'd just embrace his creepy obsession. Because it is creepy to me, not romantic. Creepy. And my heart's a little broken over the fact that we won't get more fantastic Boyd/Echo moments like we saw in The Target. I know a lot of people don't like that one, but it was actually one of my favorites because of their backstory.
I wish they'd just embrace his creepy obsession. Because it is creepy to me, not romantic. Creepy My feelings exactly. They just need to admit he is creepy as hell and get over it. It would make it far more interesting too. Adelle called him on his BS a little bit though, which made me happy.
Mostly I have a hate relationship with Topher; I felt he was another creeper that the show didn't want us to see as a creeper. This season, they seem to be making him deal with stuff, and kind of halfway acknowledging that he's a sociopath, so it's warming me up to him a little. That, and Epitaph One.
I COMPLETELY agree that I would like Paul better as a creeper. As it is, I think the show wants us to be charmed by his creepiness, and... no.
I ship Boyd/Echo in a weird, codependent fucked up sort of way and it really sucks that Paul's handling her now. Ugh.
Claire is so, so, so, so, so awesome. I ship her with both of them and maybe Echo too with a dash of Adelle, what? Claire/Boyd is definitely the healthier of them however, and they're the oens that kind of make me go CUTE! which is always nice. And yeah basically I agree with the rest of what you said too (especially on Bamber's accent, which for some reason transfixes me).
OH HELL YES. That scene with the lollipop was so tense, which makes me feel so creepy because hi, Echo was in mind-wiped mode. Of course, she was showing definite signs of awareness, so I don't feel too bad for shipping them.
OMGOMGOMG I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING!!! Most especially CLAIRE/TOPHER. Oh my GOSH. I freely admit that I rewound their scenes about 20 times each! I mean, I am so intrigued by the Claire character and even more so about Topher, because as you said he only becomes interesting when she gets inside his head.
Ugh, Paul makes me want to puke. He is sick and weird.
Cheers to a good season my friend! *raises the champagne glasses*
Word about Paul. I wish Boyd was still Echo's handler, because I felt like he actually cared about her well-being, rather than having the skeevy white knight fetish. So the ending scene just felt so, so wrong. Having Adelle call him out on his BS was so so wonderful.
And, oh my God, I am in love with Amy Acker, for realz. I really hope that she's in more than a few episodes this season (since she has a new show), since the Claire storyline is like the best thing ever. I like Topher - have you seen Epitaph One, by the way? - and his scenes with Claire are so compelling, simply because of all of the interesting moral quandries. I also ship them a little. But Boyd/Claire is cute, although I don't find them as interesting as the semi-shippy Boyd/Echo dynamic.
OH MY GOD SIERRA. I just loved Ivy's face when Sierra was like, "spank me". And the end with Sierra and Victor holding hands! And Adelle touching Victor's face and him being all, "You're touching me" was so awesome.
Hm, I might just copy and paste this comment for my Dollhouse
Though I do think that Adele has moral waffling, it was fascinating to see some of that in the latter half of the first season - but she keeps it DEEPLY buried. I freaking love her. (I need an Adele icon.)
I wish we could learn more about Boyd's motivations, too. :/

I ship Boyd/Echo too. I'm so sad they won't really be interacting much anymore.
