You know, white-knighting for your spouse is understandable to a degree. That degree is passed when you do it ALL THE FUCKING TIME when your spouse is more than capable of ranting on her own behalf and doesn't feel like it, and also when you're clearly doing it for "observe my unrewarded worthiness!" attention-seeking. Don't try to speak for me. As you say: I can speak for myself. Stop being a hypocrite. Speak for yourself if you must, but try to be civil, please.

Don't take everything my husband says as a personal attack on you. We left that SCA group before you showed up. We have made peace with the people who caused us to leave, yet ten years on, you are holding a grudge, a grudge we never had with you.

Maybe it's time for you to let it go.

The thing I'm talking about took place on a closed gaming message board amongst a closed, small circle of people from one of my alma maters, which recently added someone I'm not fond of, and all his posts have been essentially speaking over his wife and taking offense in her name where no one sees any, not even her. That's why I commented on it here. That board doesn't read my LJ, the members don't even know it exists, and I can vent a bit here within reason ( ... )

You called me a hypocrite. I didn't even speak to that. I have *never* attempted to take away your agency, your ability to advocate and/or speak for yourself. Not ever. NOT. FUCKING. EVER. Not once.

In much the same way that I'd apologize for offense offered in the same forum where it was offered I would appreciate an apology for coming to my damn LJ and calling me names.
